Berdych, Nadal to Meet in Wimbledon Final
Tomas Berdych and Rafael will meet in the final of the Wimbledon Championship on Sunday after both men won their semi-final matches in straight sets. Tomas Berdych was the first man through when he beat Novak Djokovic 6-3, 7-6, 6-3. “Right now it´s great feeling so far,” an elated Berdych said after his victory. “I´m just trying to be enjoying the victory of today. You know, I think I will try to do the same as I did after Roger. So, you know, today just be thinking about today´s match, and since tomorrow, just leave it on side and just get ready for the finals. I´m still not done yet here. One more to go.”
Rafael Nadal crushed the dreams of local hope Andy Murray when he knocked out the Scot 6-4, 7-6, 6-4. Murray was never really able to cope with Nadal’s fierce groundstrokes, and though he went up an early break in the third set he quickly surrendered the initiative, losing four games in a row to give up the match.
