Federer Crashes Out of Wimbledon
Roger Federer was stunned by Tomas Berdych in the quarter-finals of Wimbledon on Wednesday, crashing to a 6-4, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 defeat. It is the first time since 2003 that the Swiss maestro has failed to reach the final of the Championships, and represents a huge opportunity for everyone else in the draw. Berdych will now face Novak Djokovic in the next round, with both men attempting to reach the Wimbledon final for the first time in their careers.
Rafael Nadal overcame Robin Soderling 3-6, 6-3, 7-6, 6-1 to book a spot in the semi-final, where he will face Andy Murray, who recovered from a slow start to beat Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in four sets.
